From the short story series, "Where Did My Life Go?" "A Towering Experience" is about a drummer who moved to Hollywood with his band in search of fortune and fame. The band broke up. He continued to stay in L.A. while living in his van when he found a job at the legendary Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. After 3 years at the record store, Tower Records went out of business. The short story includes numerous celebrity encounters with unbelievable personal trials and tribulations. The story continues in the memoir series, "Where Did My Life Go?" This was a quick short story (15 pages) about the author’s experiences while working at “Tower Records”. It documents his non-traditional lifestyle and some of the very cool benefits that come working at a legendary store. Each story is a quick blurb, more of a collection of anecdotes. I’d say this would be a fun read for folks who are big music fans and would enjoy some undocumented history about celebrities.
