In the final electrifying novel in the HoN series, Neferet has finally made herself known to mortals. A Dark Goddess is loose on Tulsa and the world. No single vampyre is strong enough to vanquish her - unless that creature has the power to summon the elements as well as the ability to wield Old Magick. Only Zoey Redbird is heir to such power…but because of the consequences of using Old Magick, she is unable to help. Find out who will win and who will lose in this epic battle of Light versus Darkness. (Summary and book cover courtesy of goodreads.com)
This was a great finale to the series. I was certainly satisfied, which after such a long series, I found surprising. There were a few moments that I felt the authors were trying to pack too much into one book, but I was always shortly thereafter proved wrong when it all came together. There were a lot of things to wrap up and Cast managed to balance all of the storylines well.
One of the things I enjoyed about this book was also that there was a little of everything, reminders of the love stories, action, friendship, some horror and suspense. I don’t want to reveal any spoilers so I’ll just say: If you liked the series, read this ASAP!
P.S. If you started the series and skipped some of the later books, I think you could still read this book as a finale with only a few moments of confusion in the story.
Warning: Contains violence
